The flats for 4/5 people located on the ground floor have two bedrooms, one of which double and one a bedroom with two single beds.
The living areaconsists of a large kitchen/living room, with sofa bedwhere applicable + bath; paved outdoor area for exclusive use with patio chairs and table(no fence).
Built in what was once a stable, the ground-floor flats have features less rustic than those on the first storey. They have drop ceilings with heat insulation, large windows, and “English-style” front doors, each opening onto an exclusive outdoor veranda or yard equipped with patio furniture, to spend time or eat outdoors.
We have recently implemented an evaporative roof cooling system that, through well-placed sprinklers, waters the tiles to lower the temperature of the rooms below. The water comes from our well and the excess is reused to irrigate the garden. This system allows us to eliminate the use of air conditioners, with health benefits for environmental sustainability.
Although the flats, by specific eco-friendly choice, are not air-conditioned, the lodgings are comfortable even during the hottest periods, because they are immersed in the greenery of a shady and always well-ventilated park.
